S.T.A.R.T. With Kids


The National Center on Family Homelessness has been selected to participate in the Safe Start Initiative, a federal effort to prevent and reduce the impact of family and community violence on children and their families. S.T.A.R.T. With Kids will provide trauma-informed, clinically-driven care for children in homeless shelters in partnership with the Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance and University of Maryland's Family-Informed Trauma Treatment Center.  The program is funded by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice.
